To The Girl I Met

To the girl I met on a sunny day, her face a diamond's glow,
My eyes, like sunflowers, greet the light, wide and aglow.
A chemical reaction through me flows; I can't look away, I know.
There she moves on, leaving me with no hope of return.

I wait eagerly for her enchanting sight tomorrow.
She appears, her hair freshly washed,
Two strands frame her face, dimples adorn her cheeks, pure beauty and grace.
I admire her; she's the most beautiful girl I have ever met.
Indeed, she is!

For days, I visited her, but no signs of communication.
A one-sided love, the feeling refreshes me.
I wanted to speak, but the coward inside me left unspoken words.
She left, no signs of her return, yet I yearned to witness her again.
I waited for days, her face lingering in my eyes.

Leaning on a bench, the cold breeze by my side, she appeared.
Happy, I rushed to her to express what's inside me,
Yet she revealed her secret crush on me.
Both left unspoken, locked in eye contact,
And nature came along, the wide-open blue sky turning dark,
Rain showering upon us, sealing our love's enduring mark.
